Lovely little local diner. Type of place where if you are local they know you and great you. Very friendly. Stop by for a brunch with a friend in a damp rainy day. Had the normal fried breakfast two eggs over medium, bacon, biscuits and gravy and a side of hash browns. All amazing. The gravy was excellent. I was already coffeed up so opted for sweet tea like that had less caffeine but hey it was about perceptions. Great local place it would be wonderful to have in my hometown. But then we are so small we probably couldn't support it. You get the idea though.

I am a regular customer at Rhodes Family Diner. The food is delicious, with a large selection of menu items. Usually I dine in, but I also use the pick up window. I've never had a problem there. Sam Rhodes and the servers are very polite. Gotta give em 5 stars!

Breakfast is my favorite here. Service is fast!! If you are ever in Medina this is the place to stop for some breakfast. They also have daily specials each day of the week.
Rhodes has very good food. It's like home cooking. Went there to have breakfast. Got the country ham breakfast with two eggs two biscuits and gravy. The country ham was a huge center slice. Had to be put on a separate plate. The waitress was nice. The only problem I have with Rhodes is they are very slow. The price was great compared to most restaurants around here.
After reading a the past bad reviews, being a local, I had to return to see what's going on. I can say, from visiting almost 6 months ago, and then today, only good things can be said. The food was cooked to order. I don't think things are pre-packaged or heated from a box because I asked for omissions, which would be noticeable if it were preassembled or prepackaged food. The cheese on my Philly steak was not processed cheese. It tasted like provolone. The meat was chopped steak. The bread was a ligit hoagie, and the green peppers and onions were fresh and so delicious. The jalapeño burger had fresh sliced peppers that were grilled and seasoned and a generous lettuce leaf garnish. The fries on both our dishes were generous and perfectly golden and crispy. Our wait staff was busy, but we were greeted and seated within minutes of stepping in about noon. The vendor for rug maintenance was there, and the front door was freshly cleaned and sparkly. The restrooms were clean and someone had just replenished the paper products. They were obviously ready for business on Monday! I like how the tables felt clean to the touch, how the sun comes in from two enormous skylights, and how nicely the desserts are displayed in the glass case. The desserts were so pretty, we took cake home. When we saw the portion size, we admitted we needed to share, and then decided to save 1/2 for tomorrow. Our wait staff was so nice, attentive and refilled drinks, napkins etc. All in all, there must have been something to make someone upset, but it wasn't anything wrong with the food, service, or atmosphere of the diner. We had a fabulous experience.
